Shine Run – Day 3
The Shine Run, sponsored by ClearShine Products, continues with the third day the stops are open, but we’ve set the Shine Run up to kill three birds with one stone on Wednesday. The Neighborhood Beer House in Newport, TN is a new Shine Run Stop so be sure to check it out while making your chip draw. Newport Speedway is also a new Shine Run stop, but it’s a one-day Wednesday Only stop and a 2-chip draw. Wednesday is also our big day at the Speedway with multiple events and attractions so plan on spending the day in Newport area!

Fun Runs on the Oval / King Of The Smokies Competition / Drifting / Burnout Competition

The PITS Driving Experience drops the hammer at Newport Speedway.
Newport Speedway – 767 Industrial Road, Newport, TN 37821
Fun Runs on the Oval is a new event at PITS and buzzing around a 4/10mi oval with 26 degrees of banking, known as “Little Bristol”, will be a new experience for all running continuously from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Registration is open now, but we will offer onsite registration as well if we don’t hit our pre-registration max.

The King of the Smokies Competition knocks out three segments at Newport Speedway starting off with the Dyno segment on Powercurve Motorsports’ mobile dyno unit also running from 9:00am to 1:00pm. The second and third segments include trying for the fastest Autocross lap followed by Shotgun Alley where we get to see who’s the quickest draw with both running from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
We “slide” right into the Drifting portion from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with drifters from East10Drift and Morgan Drifts returning to offer exhibition runs and ride-a-longs. Lots of tire smoke and rev limiters here as everyone can’t get enough.
CobraSam’s Burnout Competition at 6:00pm caps off an amazing day with even more impressive tire smoke that’ll have the neighbors calling the fire department!
Also onsite all day will be Powercurve Motorsports’ dyno open to anyone wanting to make power pulls gunning for the highest horsepower award, ET Motorgear’s trailer with the first chance to get your PITS gear and other Vendors in attendance, along with Concessions, Food Trucks and the Sugar Shack to cure that sweet tooth.
Reminder that Newport Speedway charges an entry fee for each person at the gate with free parking.
