#PITS Spotlight: Eric Gray’s 2009 Shelby GT500

#PITS Spotlight: Eric Gray’s 2009 Grabber Orange Shelby GT 500.

For this months #PITS Spotlight we focus on the Class Winner for Best 05 to 14 in the 54 Years Of Mustang Inside Car Show. Eric purchased this car in June 2016. He actually ran across the car on Craigslist while helping a friend find a Mustang. He already owned a 2005 Mustang GT but later sold it to purchase the Shelby GT 500. The car actually went off of Craiglist but later showed back up at a car dealership as a trade-in. Take a look at the pics below and you will understand why the car was chosen as a Winner at #PITS.

#PITS Spotlight: John & Nancy Doherty’s 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra

This month’s #PITS Spotlight is our Best Of Show From The 54 at this years Ponies In The Smokies show. John & Nancy’s 1996 Cobra is a pristine original example and one of the nicest in the country! On top of Ponies In The Smokies Best Of Show, the car has won basically every MCA award there is to win and has actually accumulated so many points it has been retired from the MCA show scene! Check it out below!

#PITS Spotlight: Wesley Sweezy’s 1980 Coupe

This month’s #PITS spotlight highlights one of “The 54” cars from the 2017 version of Ponies In The Smokies. Wesley Sweezy’s 1980 coupe was a last minute edition to The 54 to fill one of our empty holes. Even though at the time Wesley’s car wasn’t “finished”, he graciously offered it up to help us out. The car started out as an incline 6 cylinder. Wesley has since converted the drive train to fuel injection out of a 1989 GT.

Here are a few shots of it as it sat at PITS.

The car just finished up in the paint shop and is undergoing final touches now, look for another spotlight on it when its done! But for now, here is a sneak peak!

How’s your project car going? Be sure to share some photos on our #PITS Social Media pages!

PITS Spotlights May ’17

My name is Ashley Flucker.  I am 16 years old (a month away from 17) and live in Greenville SC. I became very interested in mustangs when my dad built me a 93 vert feature fox body as my first car. I loved it and it was very special to me to share the moments outside all summer long working on her with my dad. A Couple months went on and she needed some work done because she was still a work in progress. My parents started searching around greenville to find me a new mustang and came across a 04 competition orange Mach 1 and went to check it out. Of course my dad fell in love because it brought back memories of his 04 competition orange roush. So my mom worked it out and surprised me on October 6,2016 with the greatest car of all time!!!!!
