Car Show – Day 1     

Ponies In The Smokies, presented by National Parts Depot, brings you one of the largest Mustang and Ford car shows in the country at the Sevierville Convention Center from 8:00am to 4:00pm on Friday!

Sevierville Convention Center – 202 Gists Creek Road, Sevierville, TN 37876  

Enjoy two car shows in one with the indoor portion featuring four special displays:

  • The 63 Years of Mustang with one example representing each year of Mustang production.
  • The Saleen Collection featuring many specialty models spanning the life of Saleen Automotive (1984-2026).
  • The RTR Collection featuring the newest, and hottest, brand to hit the Mustang scene starting in 2009 .
  • The Shelby Super Snake Collection rounding out a trifecta of specialty vehicle manufacturers with the OG himself and a very limited halo nameplate.

The inside also includes vendors, merchandise, food, music and the main stage that will feature morning blessings, the National Anthem and Awards Ceremony.

Outside is a traditional car show with:

  • 40 Classes, Top 75 and Best of Show for ~600 judged vehicles
  • ~400 Display Only vehicles
  • Outside Vendors along the Manufacturer’s Midway
  • VIP Reserved Parking section
  • King of the Smokies Competition participant section
  • 5.0 Asylum Fox Invitational section
  • Convenient access between the outside surface lots and indoor exhibit hall
  • The same music and announcements are piped outside so the entire property is sync’d up

Friday is when the cars are judged so parking is split between judged and display sections. For those being judged, when you’re car is ready put your show placard. Once a car is judged a colored circle will be affixed to the placard signifying it has been judged. If you feel like it was missed find a PITS Crew member or judge to make them aware.

The Elite5 are usually winners of a Class or Choice Award and are in the running for Best of Show Outside. If you believe you are in the running for the Elite5 please stick around and be nearby your car in the mid-afternoon as the PITS Crew is notifying the Elite5 typically between 3-4pm.

The King of the Smokies Competition Show and Shine begins at 12:00pm where competitors are judged under the same scoring system as everyone else but competing just amongst themselves.  Highest score wins this final segment of the competition.  Final scoring tally is revealed at Saturday’s award ceremony.
