While the Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area is an awesome family vacation destination, tons of attractions, hotels, things to do, that’s not the only reason we chose it as the host location for Ponies In The Smokies. The area offers some of the most incredible driving roads you’ll find anywhere in the country. While we’ve tried to highlight part of them during our “Shine Run”, there are still many more miles of roads worthy of taking your Mustang on during the event. We want to encourage everyone to get out and explore, go off the beaten path, go get lost!

Below are just some of the area roads, suggested travel routes and must see attractions along the way. Chances are you may see some of these stops on the Shine Run in future years!

Tail Of The Dragon

The most famous, well know road in the area is The Tail Of The Dragon. Of course, its a stop along the Shine Run this year and probably always will be.
